Week 2
March 14th - 20th

The sea monkeys are growing surprisingly quick, so today I gave them their second meal. You have to be careful not to overfeed them, that is the number one cause of premature sea monkey death. Tomorrow I will give them their first dose of the special Plasma III formula. This is supposed to make them grow even more quickly, and also cause them to change colors from red, to yellow, to orange. I have ordered some Triops that will be arriving this week. If you're not familiar with them, they are like a larger version of sea monkeys that also hatch from eggs just by adding water. They can grow up to three inches long (!), and are the oldest known species around. This is why they are often called living fossils. When I get the time to buy an aquarium and set everything up, I will be posting videos and pictures of the triops too. Since you can actually see them without a microscope they should be a lot more interesting to observe.
